Watford's Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill showed her genuine interest in local art and artists when she attended the preview of Watford Area Arts Forum's autumn show at the Harlequin gallery in November.

Spotting a complete change in the work by Sarah How, the mayor asked the Watford artist to explain the sudden burst into a new colourful, contemporary style and the title, You Take Me Places.

Sarah's work can also be seen at the Wycombe Swan, the Artshed in Ware and, from the end of the month, at Esporta in Northwood.

The autumn show at the Harlequin finished on Sunday 19th November.
